Amouage Epic Man EDP is a woody oriental fragrance for men, launched in 2009. The nose behind this fragrance is Randa Hammami. Epic Man is inspired by the Silk Road, a ancient trade route that connected China to the Middle East. The fragrance opens with a wave of pink pepper and nutmeg, followed by an aromatic bouquet of myrtle, cardamom, saffron and cumin. The heart is clean and sparkling geranium enhanced by honeyed, bittersweet myrrh, which leads into the dark and woody base notes of oud, sandalwood, patchouli, leather and incense.

I somehow managed to hoard three bottles of this fragrance. It comes off green, medicinal green. Now, this is not your barbershop fresh green scent, it is heavy, it is contradicting fragrance, a bit challenging. And it is not something you pick first from Amouage, try something that's easier to grasp like Beach Hut Man or Boundless. It might take you a few attempts to start liking it. And truth be told, the more I wear it the more I like it, three bottles stashed.
What a unique, mysterious and breathtaking perfume, I can imagine a mature gentleman with a BMW Alpina Emerald green wearing this ;)
